Special Abilities a non for profit social enterprise which as been set up to enable us to provide services and achieve sustainability whilst helping hundreds of disabled children and their families

We are a peer led organisation working to promote equality of opportunities, choices and independence for all disabled children and adults across all services including education, training, work placement and employment.

We provide information advice and support around disability issues to parents/carers of a disabled child and adults with a disability locally in Wakefield and on a national basis .

We support a diverse group of disabled children, parents and carers, from across the whole of the UK, who assist our organisation to define, develop and promote “Best Practice” in relation to all health, education, training and employment provision that involve disabled children and disabled adults.

We provide training courses to help provide the necessary skills and knowledge about disability issues to all attendees.

All our aims are charitable and are pier lead by the families we support.
